Welcome Message

Welcome to the ESS Annual Meeting in its 4th decade as a leader in promoting excellence in patient’s surgical care

We are delighted to invite you to this highly anticipated and prestigious event the 35th Annual Meeting of the Egyptian Society of Surgeons. This year’s meeting will be held on March 22-24, 2017 at Fairmont hotel, Heliopolios, Cairo.

For over 34 years, the ESS Annual Meeting has contributed to the exchange and sharing of ideas and exper tise in surgery. Every meeting helps to broaden our surgical knowledge which, as happens in any field of medicine, changes every year.

ESS has full confidence that this meeting can again renew our commitments to improving the lives of patients all over the world, through our chosen Main Theme: “The Art of Surgery: From the Classics to the Future”

This year, the scientific committee is preparing a very comprehensive programme that shall provide surgeons, academic clinicians and surgical residents with the opportunity to immerse themselves in a variety of educational experiences and to learn, explore, and share ideas with some of the best known names in the surgical community.

For 3 days, we will cover a wide range of topics and specialties in surgery, and we will hold an exciting series of lectures, workshops, debates, panels and symposia that shall emphasize advanced knowledge and skill acquisition through focused, applied learning techniques.

We will deliver current trends, treatments and ideas from world expert surgeons internationally and from the Arab region.

Don’t miss the rich opportunity..
Come and grab the knowledge.

About Alexandria

With a population exceeding 5 million residents, Alexandria is a Mediterranean port and the second largest city in Egypt. Also known as (The Pearl of the Mediterranean), it was a beacon of knowledge to the whole world and home to a storied library and a lighthouse ranking among the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World during the Hellenistic period.

Today the library is reincarnated in the disc-shaped, ultramodern Bibliotheca Alexandrina research center. The city has many Greco-Roman landmarks, old-world cafes and European-style parks. Its 15th-century Qaitbay Citadel is now a museum.
